Inspire
creative fun through an enterprise challenge!
Business volunteers challenge students to identify
and develop attitudes
and capabilities for entrepreneurship through creating a prototype
product.
Seven sessions run as a 1-day intensive programme.
Students think up, design, plan, build and promote a model
for their prototype product.
An interactive simulated business context is created over
the Internet.
Underpinning business concepts are delivered via games and
activities.
Contributes to the development of enterprise capability.
"A lot of what the students are doing is
exactly what they would be
doing if they were running their own business. The problem
solving,
working in teams, sourcing materials, finding out that you
can’t
always get what you want and having to change your plans,
looking at
pricing - all the sort of things they’ve covered are
the sort of things
that they would encounter in running their own business."
Tracy Eason - Business Volunteer
“I think I’ve learnt a lot. It’s
not always as straightforward as you think. Things change
and you have to change your plans to make the business work.”
