The Young Enterprise Company Programme

Inspire success through real business experience!

Students gain practical experience of business and enterprise through
setting up and running their own real company.

Run over 1 academic year.
In their weekly meeting the students have the support of a volunteer from business.
Students raise share capital to finance the company.
The company designs and makes a product or service to sell to the public.
Delivers aspects of work related learning.
Helps to develop and evidence key skills and enterprise capability.
Provides a real experience of business enterprise.

"The Young Enterprise Company Programme provides students
with a tried-and-tested quality enterprise experience that is
second to none. The skills that students develop through the
programme are directly relevant to the workplace. GKN is proud
to be numbered amongst its supporters."
Grey Denham, GKN Plc

“I’m learning about the importance of each role in a business and about sales and marketing. My communication skils have improved and I can tell I’m becoming more confident.” Sheena Patel, Company Programme Achiever, Halyard  High School.
