| Young
Enterprise programmes could not exist without the support
of volunteers
Young Enterprise already receives generous
help with funding from many national and international businesses.
Equally
important is the
time given by many people to support those students undertaking
our programmes.
Benefits for volunteers
A recent independent debrief of business volunteers
taking part in a Young Enterprise programme identified the
following opportunities for personal development
- Confidence - can now stand up in front of a group of adults/children
- Coaching skills
- Presentation skills
- Improved teamwork
- Personal pride enhanced and that of their employer
- Time management
- Communication skills
- Preparation
- Adapting to fit in with target audience
- Creative skills enhanced
- Thinking on your feet
As well as providing a safe environment to practice business skills, involvement in Young Enterprise can contribute towards and support NVQ competencies e.g. management level 4 and can be used as evidence for "Continued Professional Development" (CPD) accepted by most major professional bodies.
